filling

  1. 1 cup granulated sugar...1 cup water...3 tablespoons flour...

  2. 1 cup margarine ...1 3/4 cups granulated sugar ...4 eggs ...3 cups flour ...1 teaspoon vanilla extract...1 can pie filling, any flavor

    Cream margarine and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well. Add vanilla extract. Add flour and baking powder and beat in by hand. Spread 2/3 of batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by spoonful on filling. Spread carefully over filling. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Frost while still warm.

  5. 1 cup milk...1 cup granulated sugar...1/2 cup Crisco® (white)...1 teaspoon vanilla extract...5 tablespoons flour...1/2 teaspoon salt...

  6. 1 box white or yellow cake mix...1/2 cup (1 stick) butter...2 cups water...

  7. 1 tablespoon cornstarch...1/2 cup granulated sugar...1 cup scalded milk...2 egg yolks...1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Mix cornstarch and sugar; add hot milk and pour gradually on the slightly beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly. Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool and flavor with vanilla extract.
